Kwame Yaro Appiah is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana with crucial pre-call and post-call legal expertise. These include multi-million dollar energy project fund negotiations. In this regard, he has appeared before boards of multi-lateral financial houses including Acumen Fund, Green Climate Fund (GCF), The World Bank Group and the African Development Bank (AfDB) amongst others.
 
At the non-profit front, he played a pivotal role for the Einstein Project, Seoul and its partner; The Solutions Project, driven by the Stanford Atmosphere Energy Program, Stanford University, California and collaborators from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of Ghana and scientists from the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC). Barrister Appiah’s most recent leading role led to a concluded $10m green financing for the Green-New-Deal Energy Plan for the Republic of Ghana. He specifically directed and led board-room negotiations with AfDB in pursuit of accredited entities.
 
In practice, he has advocated before a significant number of tribunals, lower courts and superior courts of judicature. Barrister Appiah is an avid legal academic with publications in several local and international journals. Most of his works focus on law reform which has received wide citations. He sees his future committed to the energy industry with growing disputes arising out of the interrelation between the Global Green-New-Deal Energy Plans and the fossil fuel industry.
